Conquering Fear!
There’s nothing like taking to the stage and addressing a gathering to conquer stage fear! Our residential students had an Extempore competition organized yesterday evening to boost their confidence and ability to communicate effectively. Students from classes VI-VIII and IX-XII were divided into two categories and given the choice of ten topics they could take up to present. The topics were entertaining and included offbeat topics such as ‘An upside down day’ and ‘Why walking is the best means of transportation’ and even thought-provoking ones such as ‘If I could design my classroom’. The competition saw every individual student participate and do their best by making an effort to articulate their ideas on the spot. After the event, the judges and students reflected on the students’ performance and ways they could empower themselves as good communicators.
